Politics and society provide endless fodder for the pens of satirists and pundits. Oftentimes, the most biting and poignant ideas are put forth in the simplest of ways—using an image. Since the 18th century, American political cartoons have enlightened, entertained, divided, and united us. This talk will look at the history of the political cartoon in the United States.
G. A. Di Gregorio is a popular and entertaining lecturer who illuminates the stories of our past. His experiences as a professor, archaeologist, and park ranger provide a rich and diverse background for his historical explorations. He is currently a Visiting Lecturer in History at Bridgewater State University.
